Frequently Asked Questions

Training

Do I need to be home while the trainer is there?

Yes! We train with you and your buddy. This is a team effort and Best Behaved Buddies wants your buddy to listen to you! If you would rather it be just the trainer working with your buddy, we can do this but there can be an extra cost to this and we will still have to meet up to work together on what was taught.

What vaccines are required?

We want to see at least DHPP at bare minimum until they reach age to get rabies. This is important because we want to protect your buddy and other buddies we meet in the future.

Training on the same day of vaccines?

Best Behaved Buddies does not recommend this only because vaccinations can have your buddy get tired and you would lose a training class. Which overall hurts your buddy. It is better to let your buddy take their time and get healthy faster so their training sticks and no one gets sick

How old does the dog have to be to train or can the dog be too old?

When I train a pet must be at least 8 weeks for the first lesson, but it will limit the training times, because the trainer will have to make sure they haven’t worked with another dog before or after for the safety of your buddy. A PET IS NEVER TO OLD TO LEARN!

Training is a part of the service industry. If you feel that the services went above and beyond what you paid for, or were particularly pleased, then yes by all means. It is not required but GREATLY appreciated!

Should I tip the trainer?

If Owner cancels class within 2hrs of lesson it is at the trainers’ discretion if the missed lesson charge applies ($68)

What if I need to cancel a class?

Photography

YES! However there will be a surcharge for each pet.

Do you take photos with multiple subjects?

You receive all digital copies. If you would like it professionally printed or added to canvases there will be charges added.

How many photos do a receive with the sessions?

If photos are taken at home, it will be a matter of timing for photos. We understand newborn puppy photos are the cutest, but we do not want your puppies to get sick!
If we are out in public, Lepto, Rabies, and DHPP are required, if it is at a dog park Flu and Bordetella (Kennel cough) is required.
